Paris Climate Agreement

by Kelsey Scott

Today, we are deeply saddened that the United States has removed itself from the Paris Agreement. An agreement, to form an optimistic partnership, with a mutual goal of protecting our environment for future generations. 195 countries, agreed to set their own goals, toward reducing carbon output. When we jeopardize a healthy environment, we jeopardize outdoor recreation. We endanger the very places that allow us to do what we love. Without these places, we wouldn’t even have the outdoor industry. Policy makers have failed their constituents and it is now up to us as both a company and individuals to organize and mobilize around environmental stewardship. At the end of the day, an old adage rings true, “Nature bats last." This fight is won from the actions of individuals.

“If you write a letter, please consider typing it on an 8 1/2 by 11-inch sheet of paper. If you hand-write your letter, please consider using pen and writing as neatly as possible.”

“Wait a minute, what does that do, they will just ignore it?”

Actually, your representatives and senators, work for you! Their office has to respond to any concerns their constituents voice. Meaning, they will respond to your letter! We promise!
